Mustang Show

Sunday I photographed the Mustang Roundup at Silver Springs Attraction. I met many nice people and saw many cars I wish I could afford. The photo package ran Monday as a centerpiece stand alone with no text so there isn't anything online, but here's one of the photos that was published.

New Year's Traditions

After covering this story I started questioning friends and family about various New Year's superstitions. Apparently Brazilian tradition says you should wear yellow for New Years for good luck and also wear a string around your wrist with twelve knots tied in it, one for each month of the new year and let the string just fall off by itself to guarantee good luck for each month. Also I learned you should eat black-eyed peas and that for each pea you eat you will get a dollar in the new year, sounds like a stomach ache waiting to happen.

Boo-at-the-Zoo 2005

A witch walks through the Santa Fe Community College teaching zoo Halloween evening during the annual Boo-at-the-Zoo event sponsored by the teaching zoo students. This year's event had themed stations such as superheros, Nintendo and The Nightmare Before Christmas where children collected candy.
