This annual run takes place along the La Luz hiking trail, is 9 miles long and the runners gain an altitude of 4,500 feet while running up the mountainside. The winner ran it in 1 hour and 22 minutes. And I, the Florida intern, almost passed out from dizziness while standing up from shooting a low photo at the top of the mountain where the altitude was about 10,000 feet.
This is my blog that I kept from my beginnings in photojournalism at the University of Florida all the way through to my first job as a staff photographer at the Albuquerque Journal.
I am still experiencing the land of enchantment and enjoying the desert, blue skies, hot air balloons, roadrunners, coyotes, and prairie dogs.
My new Web site is www.morganpetroski.com.
