Yesterday I covered the Trigo Fire but they wouldn't let us near the real fire. I tried everything. No dice. So I waited for last minute evacuees to come out. This man rode his horse out to safety.

The north central Florida fires have certainly gained attention in the past week and I have been there covering almost everyday of it. These are from my first day out. Gov. Crist was touring Fla. that day to see how bad the wildfires across the state were.
